Northern Plains style breastplate replica with a light patina. Made with authentic bone hairpipe, commercial and brain tanned leather, solid brass and bison bone beads, ermine tail, hand-dyed rooster hackles, aged hawk bells, and an abalone disk. This looks like the real thing and includes a small medicine bag. Inside are a bit of tobacco, a stone (apparently of significance to the owner), a tangle of buffalo fur, and a very small sweet grass bundle. Finally, attached to the breast plate is a length of black grosgrain ribbon — perhaps taken as a trophy from a lady's bonnet or dress.
